My name is Christie Chaump and I am a 23-year old native Nevadan. I am the youngest of three, with two older brothers who never fail to make me simultaneously laugh and get annoyed. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in December 2019 with a degree in International Business with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Spanish Language and Society. In Spring 2021, I will begin my MBA journey at UNR as well.
I studied abroad in Bilbao, Spain for the Summer of 2018 through University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC). I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study abroad again in Santiago, Chile during Summer 2019 to improve my Spanish skills. Currently, I work full-time at USAC as the Health and Safety Assistant. I am also a volunteer for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation as an IBD support group leader in Northern Nevada. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in January 2019 and love to give back to patients like myself. I am passionate about international education, non-profits, students with disabilities or chronic health issues, and helping others in whatever capacity that may be.
While I am not traveling, working, or reading, I enjoy 90’s boy bands, doggies, baseball (Go Giants!), and getting a good workout in. I look forward to sharing my adventures with you!
